About Product

Our biggest market and competition advantage over many egg producers is that our hens are fed with quality, natural feed. The feed provided to our hens has only natural components and we use only GMO-free Soybean sourced from Europe and our own wheat and corn feed grown locally.

We sustain the same quality throughout the whole life of hens and their feeding cycle. Our priority is to supply the high end quality eggs to our customers and this would not be possible without close testing of both hens and feeding mixtures.

Quality control has the highest priority at Farmerws Eggs. We work closely with State veterinary control organisations with regular inspections and communication.

We are accredited with ISO 9001 and TFMS and IFS and we run by the HACCP standards, and we provide 24 hour veterinary care.

Traceability is at the heart of food safety. At Farmers Eggs we have adopted new controls that involve stamping every egg that is laid on the farm with a unique farm code. Farm stamping allows the egg to be traced back to its origin of lay.

We use electronic graders that ensures precise weight grades are attained rather than weights being determined within a ‘band’, as with mechanical graders. Each shell egg is electronically weighed and graded by weight. It is then packed into cartons or trays.

We provide a full range of logistics services for every transportation need.
We take great pride in keeping all our produce at the right temperature in the right environment to ensure quality and freshness.

PHILOSOPHY

Farmers Eggs are produced by five farms around Velký Krtíš in Slovakia. One of them is the Nenince Farm, which consists of 12 barns with a more than 50-years tradition not only as the biggest farm in Slovakia, but in the number of egg-layers raised on bedding too. The other four farms producing Farmers Eggs are Príbelce, Veľké Straciny, Uderiná and Divín.

Farmers Eggs goes above and beyond minimum requirements to ensure the health and welfare of our flocks. From giving each bird proper handling and care throughout their life cycles, to staying at the forefront of science on how to maximize a flock’s well-being, Farmers Eggs is committed to producing high-quality eggs and leading the way in animal stewardship.

Our values

Babickin Dvor is focused on the high quality egg production with the highest farm standards. Not only that we provide the best care to our hens so they live in the best conditions as they would on the traditional farm but also we care how they are fed and there for we use only feeding mixtures that do not contain GMO components.

Better life for hens

Our company owns mainly small and medium sized farms. Our hens are kept in various ways of breeding, such as bedding, freely outside and in halls. We have 31 stud halls and 6 breeding halls, thereby we can provide the best possible care which is incomparable to mass producers.

Velký Krtíš is situated on the river Ipel, one of the main sources of Donau. 100 km from Budapest, 300 km from Vienna, 600 km from Prague, 800 km from Kiev. Due to climate and geographic conditions it is called ¨Slovak Provence.¨

Farmers Eggs, a part of Babickin Dvor a.s., is one of Central Europe’s leading egg producers, situated in picturesque Slovakia within the European Union. Farmers Eggs is privately owned and operated and provides fresh shell eggs to supermarkets and food manufacturers.

Our company ensures control of the complete process from the production of feed and the rearing of young chicks right through to the manufacture of the finished egg product. This ensures that we can consistently provide the quality required by our discerning customers.

We pride ourselves on producing healthy, fresh farm eggs and the strictest hygiene is maintained in order to ensure food safety. Our farms are regularly subject to independent audits to ensure their compliance with national and international accreditation schemes

Farmer Eggs is focused on supply of table eggs throughout Central Europe and export markets, predominantly in the Middle East.

OUR FARMERS EGGS

Shell Eggs supplied by our chickens are raised in barns on bedding. The chickens are allowed to roam freely in the barns, sit at roost, have a dust bath and lay eggs in their nests. This farming method provides the hens of a most natural way of life.

Our production contains all types of eggs fulfilling all EU regulations. Also providing GMO free eggs, while using GMO free feeding mixtures - soybean meal.
